Oceania Paralympic Championships




Overview
In partnership with the Oceania Paralympic Committee and the Australian Paralympic Committee the 2011 Arafura Games will incorporate athletes with disabilities in the Oceania Paralympic Championships. The Oceania Paralympic Championships are open to eligible athletes with physical, visual and intellectual impairments. Athletes must have a valid classification to compete. Classification will be available prior to competition.

The 2011 Arafura Games will incorporate the Oceania Paralympic Championships which includes competitions in:
- Athletics
- Swimming
- Powerlifting
- Table Tennis
Paralympic events and able-bodied events are integrated into the one competition providing a unique and diverse sporting environment. The Oceania Paralympic Championships is open to all countries of the world.
Medals for the Oceania Paralympic Championships will be awarded to athletes from countries based in Oceania only. All other medal winners competing in the Oceania Paralympic Championships will receive an Arafura Games medal.

Table Tennis: A Level 'A' International Classifier Seminar will be delivered in conjunction with this competition.
Powerlifting: A Trainee International Classifier Seminar will be delivered in conjunction with this competition.
Swimming: A Trainee International Classifier Seminar will be delivered in conjunction with this competition.
